If browser elements are not recognized by Ranorex Studio, make sure that the extension is installed properly.
- Close the browser and make sure it is not running as a background process.
- Run the Instrumentation Wizard and verify that the browser is instrumented properly.
- Start the browser from Ranorex Studio. Make sure the extension is installed and Instrument is set to True.
- If you are running in Incognito, make sure you are allowing the Ranorex’s extension to run in Incognito or Private windows.
1. Go to your browser’s extension settings
2. Click Details under the Ranorex Automation extension
3. Allow running in Incognito/Private.
- If you have multiple extensions installed, you can fully remove them via the Registry Editor.
1. Open the Registry Editor.
2. Search for the extension ID and delete any keys that contain it(this can be found in the extension settings page in your browser)
3. Re-instrument your browser.

The settings in the Registry Editor may be monitored by your IT team. If unsure, get in touch with your IT team to modify the allowed extensions and make sure Ranorex is in the allowed/white list.
